I’m sure some people have seen some of my prior posts. It seems it has become entirely impossible for me to ever use the platform again, regardless of whatever steps I take. I’ve recently resorted to emailing Reddit’s support team and submitting appeals.

Unfortunately, in the past month, I’ve only ever gotten a response from them once, saying that my ban will be staying in place without giving any reason. Is there any way at all I can get into contact with someone? They have no phone number and no email, and when you submit tickets on their website they very very rarely respond.

Despite the fact it’s a wrongful ban, there seems to be zero accountability on Reddit’s side, and they provide no means for the consumers to reach out to anyone and vouch for themselves. Is there any way I can maybe even get close to getting my ban overturned? Hell at this point I’m not even looking for them to unban me, at the bare minimum I’d just even like to know why I even got banned in the first place.

Banned for just showing a screenshot of a Facebook account hijacking. Later turned out to be a powertripping mod looking for an axe to grind.

    I’ve been there

    You’re wasting your time

Shit, I couldn’t even get intimate images of me taken down that were being shared without my consent!

    They don’t care

One slight correction, you aren’t the consumer, you’re the product to be sold to the actual consumers: advertisers and as AI training fodder.

Chances are it won’t help. Unless a mod accidentally hit the ban button. It’s easier for them to ban anyone close to breaking the rules than have to split hairs with things that might be breaking the rules.

There needs to be a journalist who digs into this to see how big a problem it is and what’s going on over there. It seems like a mass purge. Or they’re letting AI moderation indiscriminately destroy people’s social media accounts.

That’s such a good point. It quite honestly really feels like the entirety of Reddit is run by a single AI that does not give a fuck about any of its users. It honestly feels like the most corrupt and anti-consumer social media one can use right now

not for shadowbans, they are pretty sneaky on that end, “thier claims they dont want botters to know that they are banned”

I think they have AIs banning people now, and AIs handling the appeals. I’m permabanned, and as far as I can tell, it was just for signing in while using public wi-fi, which made the AI think I was ban evading. There are no actual humans handling this anymore. If you trigger the AI, you’re done.

That’s what I find so bewildering. Like I am on a college campus, and I sign into a new device while using a user agent switcher and get banned instantly. There is absolutely no way they should be able to connect that account to me, so my only assumption is just that if someone signed onto Reddit while being on campus, they are gone and there’s nothing they can do about it. Such a ridiculously wide net to cast while trying to catch and punish the most minor of offenses

I don’t see how the site is gonna stay afloat with this going on. Soon there won’t be any actual users. They need eyes on the ads to get revenue, if they ban all those eyes, they get nothing. They’re just gonna have bots talking to each other and no actual content. Can’t even sell user data when you barely have any human users left.

its mostly bots anyways, especial AI bots that post alot of slop posts. half is bots, and half is maybe users. and its not the good bots either, the propaganda bots.

reddit looks at sudden changes in IP, or suspicious new browsers, or devices. thats where all the new bans are comming from.

because proxies can suddenly change IP.

Reddits a damn joke, I spent a year and a half supporting substance users in rehabilitation and giving them advice on how to kick the needle. Yesterday they decide that i’m promoting violence for some reason. Appeal? Doubt they even read it, they denied it in about an hour or two. The admins on there are scummy fat manchildren who don’t like when someone contributes something meaningful if it doesn’t help them get advertiser money.

thier filters, sub filters are set on high and is pretty indiscriminate in how they flag people to. Also thier using AI to just run through peoples account with no care if they are spamming ro not.

its also noticable that they have set some of sub to “Best” which shows very old posts further discouraging people from engaging in a sub, although most subs might just set to Hot as the filter.

im not even tempting to create an acct, since ive been shadowbanned, because a shadow is alot worst than a perma ban.

You’re wasting your time brother. I had and oooooold account with hundreds of thousands of karma and it was snapped outta nowhere. No specific reason given aside from I broke “TOS” which tells me nothing. So I submitted an appeal asking what rule I broke and promised never to break whatever rule that was again. It was instantaneously denied without any clarification.

I made a new account with a new email and new device on a new internet source and after ~30 minutes my new account was banned for “ban evasion”. Literally have no clue how they knew it was me, but whatever.

Saw some posts of people saying that they were able to make a new account after waiting a few years and moving, but I can’t verify if that works.

only works if you are on a different IP address, and a new device. if you are on the same device and ip even with new accounts, reddit will just ban that. its not worth it to create account as a new user too, people are getting banned soon after.

also some subs have filters that will automatically delete your comment which can trigger reddit filters at the same time.
