We have phone call & meeting booths in this co-working space for a reason. Guy who works in an office takes call out of the office so as to not bother his staff, but is now pacing around the open plan area where I sit talking loudly on the phone. Make it make sense.

Having fomo looking at the weather in Melbourne atm. Figures that almost as soon as I get back on Sunday the weather will get warmer again.

Today’s the first day I’ve had some time to myself… or so I say, but I really need to get onto the Python thing for work and wrap that whole thing up today so they can invoice tomorrow. Uggghh I just want to switch my brain off and lie in bed with the AC on watching Animal Kingdom S4 (finally Ellen Barkin is getting phased out. I hate her acting in this show)

But nope. Time to fire up the laptop and get to asking chatgpt how to do the thing

the tide was very low today

I found a sinker and a very good large abalone shell that has a blister pearl

the main attribute of sinkers and lures is they have to attract fishermen into buying them

I can see why everyone just uses Shopify for online stores these days. I went with Woocommerce because it’s free, but setting up variable items like clothes with different sizes is such a headache.

It’s a manual process either way. You either go into every product and set up the variations yourself, or you upload one CSV, have to turn on product variations for each product individually, then upload a second CSV with all the variations.

I don’t like it. They charge a monthly fee and a percentage of sales. They’re also trying to become like a platform for online shopping, like they’re trying to muscle in on becoming a monopoly.

And they seem pretty content with making it easy to start your own AI generated dropshipping store. They’re trying to sell the dream so they can collect that subscription money. Starting a store is only the first step, not the final destination.

I’ve just realised Miss Meow is going to be able to go outside in the new place. She’s not going to be able to scale the colourbond fence, and as long as I make sure there are no gaps under gates or anything like that it should be secure enough.

Developing a mild cauliflower ear despite draining fluids out.

Gonna look like an absolute killer in my office attire.

I’m going to buy my old laptop off work but it needs a new SSD.

I don’t want to spend too much on a replacement SSD, but I need to balance speed and capacity.

There’s probably no point looking on the second hand market as SSDs just wear out and I’d be buying one with a shorter shelf life vs going new
