What would be a good getting started resource for calisthenics at home?
Def youtube. Because vids show you correct form. Even tho is pretty hard to mess up since you are just using your bodyweight, form is good.
The one that got me started on it was this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jldft-ppzCU&ab_channel=CALISTHENICSFAMILY
I started with that one, but when I first started I started off with just doing each movement 4 times. I think they start out with 8 to 12. But within a week or so I was able to move the numbers us.
Your body adapts fast. Ease into it, but do it every day. Start low. I think my first workout was 15 minutes.
Now I lift weights, row, run and everything.
Now if you wanna see something crazy. These are guys that only do bodyweight, and they work out at playgrounds. They are called Barrstarrs. This is them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4dR93bFXZ4&ab_channel=OfficialBarstarzz
Those are my end goals. That strength is freaking crazy. I’m switching from weights to get back in to bodyweight fitness just so I can do that stuff!
Those guys are super impressive
Right? I’ll post of their vids to the main community. They are my fav to watch.
