This guy has just, out in the open, bought himself into a position of power. This is the type of shit you see in a movie. Next thing you know, he’ll be scowling at a local detective reminding him of his diplomatic immunity.

I swear modern society (at least American) has been moulded by the entertainment industry, and all for the worse.

Everyone acts like a spoiled child because people on tv and movies act
ridiculous and over the top, and there are almost never any consequences for them.

The consequence is usually a knight who comes knocking. But we don’t seem to have many of those in real life, and when we do the billionaires charge them with terrorism

Is it really something you only see in a movie (even in the context of the US). This is being reported because Musk’s diva persona, but I would speculate a lot of US oligarchs have previously had massive influence on government processes and some even got themselves into positions of power ala Musk.

I hope they do this actually.

It would be interesting to see Musk utterly fail in the role. Besides deflating his image/ego, the failure would provide further evidence that business leaders don’t have special skills to magically make government work better.

Plus: Johnson has been no friend of the American people.

The headline is literally true, but very deceptive.

ETA: it should have said “Three nutjob fringe GOP reps want…”
