    Setting aside the issue of whether it’s a good idea to address obesity in general by restricting food, which is where the focus of the article seems to be, this particular implementation doesn’t seem like it would work well. Surely one can just create a larger meal at a smaller price that’s functionally similar or equivalent to a two-for-one deal?

    To pick on McDonalds as an example, McDonalds (used to) sell a “Mega Potato” fries in Japan that was twice the size of a large. And almost all of their existing burgers were made by increasing the size of older burgers. I’m pretty sure that they’re able to figure out how to make a larger version of an item if they want to do so.
