It’s a political necessity really. If you keep denying the losing party any influence, they’ll grow bigger.

The Danish political system has very successfully stopped the far right parties by acknowledging their concerns and bringing some but not all of their policies into the centrist parties. Honestly this is probably much better than the alternative of the far right parties getting more and more influence.

Jeg tror helt sikkert i vil lære mest af at gøre det fra bunden. Det er heller ikke sikkert det reducerer arbejdet særlig meget - det er alment kendt at det er nemmere at skrive kode end at læse kode 😅

Jeg er selv meget interesseret i at udvikle et alternativt socialt medie. Det kan da være jeg har siddet og brugt nogle aftener på det de sidste mange måneder… Så det er noget jeg selv synes er spændende og har arbejdet med. Jeg skal da i hvert fald gerne lægge en kommentar i en tråd på Feddit.dk hver 14. dag hvis det er :P

Hvor store skal de her specialeprojekter være? Jeg vil sige at det er et ret stort projekt at skulle lave et socialt medie, i hvert fald hvis det ikke bare skal være meget trivielt. Men måske er det mest en “proof of concept” i skal lave og så er det måske fint nok?

Could you elaborate on this? My experience during my computer science education was that a lot of maths was required, but just usually not the same kind of maths as most of the rest of mathematics, because continuous stuff doesn’t apply most of the time.

I think a big difference between the way maths and programming is done however is the way it is written. Mathematics is usually about stating a relation as an equation, i.e. x = y^2. But programming can’t just state the relation, it needs to also state how to compute that relation. Honestly my confusion is that maths has never focused more on the computation part of it, it seems very weird to me.

They are not equivalent - one semantic assigns trans women under the category of women (not transphobic) while the other semantic assigns trans women as separate from the category of women (which many would say is transphobic).

Agreed - but the crucial point here is that the comment says that trans women are not women, which is a stance many would consider to be transphobia. I think the proper way to say it is that trans women and cis women are obviously not the same thing, but both are women.

This is hardly transphobia.

Depends - many people would say that not including transwomen in the category of “women” (without qualifier) is transphobia, and the comment literally says:

This is exactly the same as saying transwomen are not women, because they are not. They are transwomen.

So the comment is basically arguing that “women” should only be used to mean “cis women”, which some might (perhaps rightfully) consider transphobia.

Kind of a strange blog post. Clearly it requires a lot of technical knowledge, yet it explains basic TypeScript syntax and variables and how to use an editor. While simultaneously showing SQL code. There doesn’t seem to be a clear target audience to this.
