ok updated the firewall as you suggested. still no joy for my scanner being able to scan a document and send it to the computer.

first: is the firewall set correct? (if it isn’t then please let me know)

second: do i have to have a specific piece of software on my pc installed AND running? for example do i need to have Document Scanner running at the time when I hit try to scan the document or will linux just know to bring up a document scanner piece of software?

although if my computer is dhcp (gets its ip from the router) then what would I put into the TO field?

Time to muddy the waters. Everyone who is an immigrant (legal or illegal) when asked for an email address, find an email address of an executive at a large corporation and use that.

So get the people who do live there to vote to end the hoa. If the majority wants it gone then it’s gone. Easy solution.

My opinion on destroying HOA is this it’s kind of stupid. If a person doesn’t wanna live in one then don’t live there. I’m notso sure I’d wanna live in one, but then I just choose not to live there. I’ll live somewhere else. There are a lot of houses for saleright now not in an HOA. Some were built 30 years ago some were built even before then and some are newer. Take your pic on which one you want. Yeah, there is HOA‘sin the area, but you don’t have to live in one. Live and let live. If they wanna live there, let them ,why feel the need destroy an HOA?

Yeah your instructor taught you wrong. Think about about it. Unless you turn your blinker on to let people know your want over how is anyone going to give you enough space to merge in? If I give a three second follow distance and you merge into that space you are quite close when you pull in front of me. That’s a way to create road rage or an accident. Because I’m probably not going to see your blinker if you hit the blinker and move. You need to hit the blinker to let others know you want to move then check for space.

Not sure where your live but around here there are a few hoa areas but yeah there’s a ton of houses built in the last 30 years not in an hoa. You can even go back 20 years if you want. Probably even go back 10.

Take your last sentence and replace hoa with union.

No they shouldn’t be banned. You don’t want to line in one? Fine don’t live there. No one is forcing you to buy there. Let those who want to live there, well… Leave them alone if that’s what they want. What does it matter to anyone else?

For those that live in an hoa and have a bad board, go run for office and get the idiots voted out. Either that or move. Probably cheaper to run for office and then fix the problems.

To be honest this just creates problem. Put a loud chime on it so it starts singing after a while. What we have now is a tech that allows people to signal to short of a time potentially creating accidents

Personally that tech shouldn’t exist. People rely on it and don’t give others around them enough time to realize a lane change is about to happen.

Turn it on. Let it blink a few times to make sure others know you are moving. Change lanes. After you are in the lane then turn it off.
