  • What was inconsistent?

From what I gather, if the allegations are true, then Luigi never claimed to be knowledgeable enough to have solutions but recognized general issues.

This would, presumably, absolve him of inconsistencies since he didn’t claim to be the arbiter of truth or an expert.

This is a genuine question btw, I’m realizing I don’t really know much about the manifest or his views beyond health insurance companies being evil. So I’m curious to hear what you mean.

  • It will be difficult, but technically possible. You’d have to ensure bitlocker is disabled on your windows drive. If you’re not sure what that is, don’t assume that means it’s not enabled. Windows does enable it by default in some cases. It encrypts your drive and you won’t be able to access it.

But in all honesty, I’d recommend just starting from scratch if steam games are what you’re most worried about. First, some of them might not work on Linux. Second, you may encounter strange issues that require redownloading much of your library anyway. Lastly, you’ll want to transfer them to a drive with a Linux file system which will take time. That’s if you even have the drive space to spare. More likely is you’ll be formatting that drive anyway to a Linux filesystem, wiping the contents anyway.

Even with slow internet, redownloading games as needed will be way easier and likely faster.

If you’re unsure what distro to go with, I recommend going with Bazzite. It’s a distro optimized for gaming and is an atomic distro. If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry about it, just know that for most casual users, an atomic distro makes way more sense and is much less likely to break. Additionally, if you have nvidia hardware, the drivers come pre installed so it’ll work right out of the box.

Hey, not all of us! Physics was humbling in my experience. Had the exact opposite effect.

I did exceptionally well at a top physics university, and still felt stupid all the time.

It took getting my ass handed to me to wipe that veneer off my perceived awesomeness and realized I’m doing this cause I love it. Why would I think down on anyone else doing what they do cause they love it?

And I sure as hell came to realize that there’s people better at biology than I am at physics.

That said, lots of physics people are high on their own supply. So, not discounting the reality of physics dickheads that are in abundant supply.

  • Dude, relax, you’re fighting with people that agree with you that Elon is a Nazi piece of shit. If a bunch of people that agree with you, more or less, are downvoting you and saying that your anger on this one is misplaced, maybe it’s time to look inward.

Let people realize they made a mistake, jeez. That’s all this is. People made an uninformed decision, and are now realizing their mistake. You never made a mistake before? Jfc

Ignore them. People like to feel superior. The like to think that they’re somehow different and would never have been so easily fooled. They’re just fooling themselves.

They don’t realize that dogging you for not having your realization earlier is based on the exact same logical flaws that have led to republicans believing that poor people are only poor due to a failure of character, thus believing we shouldn’t waste our time on helping people who don’t deserve it.

Damn… I’m going to keep “not a fault, it’s a failure” in my back pocket. I’ve never heard it put that way when discussing a screw up that wasn’t really someone’s fault (in this case Biden, but could be Dems or even situations not politics related)

I feel being critical without blaming unfairly is a huge part of my personality, and so this type of convo actually comes up kinda frequently in my life, since so many people struggle to see gray areas between right and wrong, at fault and not at fault.

But what you said is a perfect way to better ensure that the meaning doesn’t get lost to blaming, after which the conversation is usually a lost cause.

  • Damn… your comment being at zero upvotes is making me realize just how much everyone hates us. I know zero isn’t really anything on the surface. But I would’ve thought your comment would resonate a little.

But naw, everyone is, rightfully, just fearing for their countries right now and wants to, understandably, punish.

I fucking hate my country rn, I protested today even. But I know we’re in a bad spot and I kinda looked to countries like Canada as our last hope in defeating the pieces of shit running our country.

Guess I was delusional that they would still prioritize us “good” ones and keep us safe. But like… why? Why would they?

Oh well, no one who’s lived in a collapsing empire throughout history wanted to. And a lot of people died, and they probably didn’t want to lol.

I hope I don’t die, but I hope for good to prevail more. And if I die in the process of the defeat of this fucked country, and the world order that follows is something better. So be it… shits rough.
