  • Oh man, I guess I did just post and run haha. Life got in the way and I never ended up doing a proper fix. I just jacked it up a bit, and adjusted the pavers enough so that it’s not resting on the wedges. Eventually I want to move it and pour some concrete posts like someone else mentioned. Hopefully I have time this fall to do this, and my “temporary” fix doesn’t become permanent. The ambitious side of me wants to tear down the shed and rebuild, since it wasn’t built that well, but that’s probably never going to happen.

I’m with you on this. It’s kinda ugly, but kinda neat. If it wasn’t made so shitty, wasn’t a safety hazard, and wasn’t associated with a nazi, I don’t think it would get any more hate than any other pickup. But for looks, I’ll take ugly over boring any day.

  • Luckily it seems they didn’t touch the actual plumbing too much, but the aesthetic things around the plumbing. Like the tile around the shower faucet handle was done poorly and there’s gaps that need filling in. Or behind one remodeled sink they cut a huge hole in the drywall that’s almost star shaped somehow. But the plumbing connections at least seem to be done correctly.

Good tips for the tools. I’m lucky enough to live by a tool library so I’m checking there for anything I don’t have and I’ll only use it once or twice.

  • The business I contacted had “landscape design and installation” on their website but It makes sense that they would want to do it all themselves. As for what we’re wanting: the lawn is in bad shape, gravel and construction waste throughout. So cleaning that up, and putting in native grass, with some drought resistant native plants. There’s a loose gravel area we’d like to replace with concrete or pavers or something. And there’s a small wood deck on the side we were thinking of expanding but not sure if it would look good. Plus we have a wonderful live oak tree that covers the entire yard with shade, and we’re not sure how to best design around it.
