The same where they get a say in the kid being gay or a tranny trans

They shouldn’t but that’s what Conservatives are pushing

Yeah, and while I hate that I’ve been exposed to enough of their bullshit I understand on some level the idea that they feel they should get a say in if their child transitions under their roof or who their child dates under their roof. These people have chosen not to understand queerness and refuse to acknowledge the cost to their child for repressing themselves or going through the wrong puberty against their will.

But the idea that a child is too young to decide to have an abortion for themselves means they think their child isn’t too young to be a parent and that’s fucking insane to me. Like they know that teen pregnancy is bad. They know that it’s bad for teenagers to be parents.

In the US, the child’s would-be grandparent can sue physicians for murdering their grandchild if they think it wasn’t medically necessary to save their child.

It has lead to many physicians refusing to offer lifesaving abortions due to the risk

My phone has a sim card meant for a tablet. It has no number that works. No calls, no SMS.

Just apps. Maps, chat, passwd/otp, and similar stuff. I finally got my mom trained to use Skype or messenger l, and Skype-in only in emergencies where she sees flames.

The fact that no one calls me is fantastic.

I sympathize. Circumstances mean that we actually do still need, not just a phone number, but a landline. We just hang up on those rare occasions when our call screening fails.

The trouble is that means policy is being set or supported based on the people who don’t know enough about anything to even figure out how to manage their phones.

        We’re all doomed.

Why should the robocall be mysterious? Customers should be able to trace back the call to the initiators

Try it and report back. Spoofing numbers is a big issue. Telecoms don’t actually care

You can set whatever CSID you want on an ISDN trunk set. Past that, you would need to get the police to care enough to force the phone co to look it up, which is pretty unlikely.
