Russian invasion forces
are trying to deceive the Ukrainian military in the area of Krynky on the east
bank of Kherson Oblast with the help of dummy soldiers, a member of the
Ukrainian Defense Forces reported on his Telegram channel Hovoryat Snayper on
Dec. 21.
Hmm.
So is the IFV a decoy? I mean, it seems expensive to expend a working IFV if you have decoy soldiers and are expecting the thing to maybe be hit.
I can’t tell for sure, but it looks like it might be. In the photo from directly above, it looks like one might be seeing soil through the hatch, like there’s no floor on the vehicle.
I guess these IFVs were unable to shoot due to very long outdoor storage and cannibalization of their parts, so using them as decoys was the only possible use for them. See also: https://twitter.com/secretsqrl123/status/1738332680217846039
