I don’t think head shops marketing “galaxy gas” to kids is ok, but as far as substances go, whippits are quite benign. What’s the hysteria about?
A parent probably picked their kid up at a dead and co concert and saw the parking lot, never being exposed to these things. With a bit of luck, her life was ruined forever.

Whippits are fked they will absolutely ruin a person. Imo the real “gateway” drugs are whippits and xanax and sometimes alchohol. but the recent marketing is probably why people are worried. Whippets have always been imo a party drug that you dont see very often. Now suddenly with tiktok you can watch 1000s of videos of kids getting 2L TANKS of N02 and passing out, sometimes IN SCHOOL.
I have no idea who this youtuber is, and i didnt watch the whole thing but here is a video i found of how absurd this is getting.
I feel dumber after watching that video.
The guy says N02 is bad because “Look if you injection it into your car intake it makes it go faster, so it’s got to bad”

Laughing gas isn’t dangerous, the dentist even gives it to pregnant women.
Sure there are rare cases where it’s dangerous, usually if someone does something really dumb.
But that’s true for everything, toasters kill 300 people in the us every year.
Gateway drugs are a myth. It was created as propaganda during the beginning of the war on drugs as a way to justifi anti-marijuana campaigns
We know now the real reason was as a way to discredit the hippies protesting the Vietnam war. We no longer need to do that, so let’s let the gateway drug myth die off
Im aware of the origins thats why i wrote “the real gateway drugs” implying that gateway drugs arent real. My bad, but ive genuinely seen so many good people get addicted to these “benign” substances and its absolutely depressing and difficult to not see a pattern of which substances are pushing my friends and family to chase more and more intense highs. Ive heard kratom is starting to make its way to teens aswell if you see a product called feel free at your local conv store, its kratom. And im seeing similar issues with that as i did with the prevelence of galaxy gas.
