When you work 10 hours a day of hard labor work ( both mentally and physically ) and you come home to a farm, do some cycling/strenght training with weights on the side you do need 8-9 hours of sleep every day ( I on average do 24k steps a day so somewhat active )

I mean I guess so. But I dont think this is a really common lifestyle.
Where I live that’s the most common lifestyle, so my view is molded by that
