That’s my point, thanks for missing it. None of us were, and we’re all basing what we know on two short videos totaling less than thirty seconds, and the witness accounts of people who were there. Saying “that’s literally fake news” is bullshit, because none of you know anything that I don’t know. Well, what we do know is the witness accusing him of aiming a rifle and running towards the crowd is also the same person who shot and killed an innocent bystander. We also have footage that shows this witness testimony to not match what actually happened. So no, I don’t think you can make any claims based on what that witness says.
The difference is that you are refusing to change your prior beliefs based on the new evidence being presented. The only prior evidence was assuming someone’s motive and the testimony of someone who committed manslaughter.
Now we know the motive and the testimony are not lining up with reality.

There’s no new evidence presented. “He’s an anarchist” has nothing to do with him being an idiot. He got people killed because of his own stupidity and recklessness, and he’s going to go to prison for that. Because self defense laws consider if your actions were reasonable given he situation as you perceived it, and the peacekeepers actions were perfectly reasonable, given the threats against the protest, and this idiots actions.

Open carry is completely legal in utah. Why are you blaming a person who didn’t do a crime when both parties had firearms? Also, he hasn’t been charged.
Again, walking around with a rifle isn’t a threat to anyone’s life. Meanwhile the organization that set up “peacekeepers” expressly told them not to intervene armed protestors and told them not to be armed.
