Genuinely if you keep an eye on a particular group of social birds for a while some kind of telenovela drama will unfold without fail. Even pigeons have fascinating lives once you get to know them individually. But for me nothing beats swans and peacocks. They’re so expressive about everything.

This is why I love my hens.

Like, I had no idea. I didn’t even want chickens. One day my wife comes home with a 6-pack.

Now tho? I could spend a whole day sitting outside, stoned, just watching them live their life. It’s like a soap opera with miniature dinosaurs.

We have blackbirds in our garden and I swear that I have seen the females shout at their lazy ass husband several times. They will tweet angrily, fly after them, hop after them, pull feathers from their tails and whatnot. True drama every time.

I’ve noticed pigeons in recent times. You sometimes see one mofo chasing another, and the other keeps running away like it being chased by some creep. Then, once the second one stops and the original gets near them, the original mofo starts spinning in place, tryina rizz 'em up. Usually leads nowhere, though I once spotted a successful pigeon. Said pigeon then jumped atop the other pigeon. A blink-and-you’ll-miss thing, so quick before they left. It’s something I now notice quite often, having noticed this interesting pattern.

Is your pigeons’ threatspin routine like, 360 spin one way then 360 spin the other way then charge? That’s what I’ve observed most often. You can tell how pissed the pigeon is by the speed of the spin too.

Idk, I feel like they just spin one way a few times. I reckon they also tend to make pigeon sounds in such state. Not sure about being pissed. I think they just horny. They wanna fuck (or jump atop the other pigeon, it seems). I am no pigeon expert, though. Just things I’ve noticed
