Yeah, I reckon so. But the movie tells a story, and the book I reckon doesn’t (though I have not read it). So they’ve built upon the book, if my “deduction” (based on the book description) is correct. 'Tis a great movie!

Crunch, crunch, I don’t want no lunch. All I want is potato chips
Back to the Future but instead of going back in time, you’re actually jumping to an alternate universe that happens to be the exact same as yours but whose time is shifted enough that the date there is the one you wanted to go to
Hey, I’ve recently seen the movie of the same title, How to Blow Up a Pipeline! Great watch. Seeing the book description, I reckon the movie being based on the book did a lot more building on top of it, seeing as the movie tells a story and the book appears to be nonfiction (though parts of the story in the movie might as well be real)
Cool lipstick colour
Looking to buy some clothes, eh?
Cool! Tell me more. How’s that going? Going well? Is that, like, a full-time thing? Does that pay well? Btw, you don’t have to answer anything if you don’t wanna.
On another note, we could move onto private messages if you want. Or not, if you don’t want to. We can continue the convo here in the comments as well. Been enjoying our chat
I wonder if the next president could do something to stop that… seems like the head of DOGE might like it (or not, if that means contrarians disappear and stop “community noting” his posts, and allow for a more echoey chamber)
Eh, I guess if one doesn’t exist, no one had enough interest to create it. I could create one, for anyone who’s interested, but I reckon an interested insider would be more suited for such task. Otherwise, it’d be kinda bland coming from an outsider with little understanding. Someone interested could probably raise a community with a better understanding of what someone interested in such community would want out of it. As such, I’ll probably not take in the work of creating and managing such community. Feel free to do so, if you wish.
Anyway, how’s things going? Much cheering lately?
Let’s get this Alvin Parsley laughing emoji laughing emoji
I use Ecosia! I also like DuckDuckGo, but I go with Ecosia as a default, cause I like their cause. DuckDuckGo has the benefit of having ddg.gg as an address, which is quick to use when not the default (“ddg.gg/search terms” might work for not searching with Google or Bing or whatever the default may be on a device other than your own)
Interesting. I reckon men wear other types of clothes, innit? I doubt they’d be rockin skirts or whatever. Are skirts the usual cheerleading clothes? At least from media that’s what comes to mind. Skirts and tops (is that what they’re called?). And pom-poms. I reckon Lemmy could do with a cheerleading community. Maybe that could be interesting. Though I’m not sure if Lemmy supports video yet (images sure are popular here, but I reckon seeing the acrobatics in action would be cooler). Though for people interested in cheerleading themselves, from the inside (rather than outsiders), threads and discussions could be popular. Not sure what the prevalence is on Lemmy for people into cheerleading. What d’you reckon? Any interest in that?
Wasn’t that originally to sell newspaper?
Cool! I wish you luck on that! I bet you must look (and probably feel) hella dope doing some sick acrobatic moves (I know I probably would, I guess, on a fictional scenario in which I am a cheerleader). Btw, is cheerleading more of a woman thing? At least that’s the image I have, from media. Not sure how many men do that. Do men do that? Is that common, or a thing at all?
Damn, that’s impressive! Jumping up and being held up by others is especially quite the feat, on all ends. Did you ever hold other people up? I imagine that requires some strength as well (though if two people were to hold one, I guess the weight distributes between both people)
Cool! What kinds of stuff does it involve? Jumping around and shaking pom-poms? Or were you doing advanced acrobatics? Were you just doing it for fun? I reckon it usually involves cheering for a team, though I am not very knowledgeable on the topic (as you can probably tell)
Cool! I don’t think I’ve ever seen cheerleading in person. Wonder if that’s mainly a US thing or if it’s me not being big into sports. Is cheerleading a difficult thing? Seems fancy in movies, where they do all those fancy stunts
