Water pie? Boiled water, I assume…
Bit more then that but uhh… not much. Here’s someone who made and tasted it. I like his channel too, he makes a lot of weird old recipes and tries them, on occasion they’re good, which is always a nice surprise.
Marie Callender’s, a restaurant chain mostly in California known for their pies, has an egg custard pie on their menu.
Also, while American-style egg custard pie may not be super-common today — I don’t know — East Asian cuisine has egg tarts, and I see them commonly available in Asian restaurants around the San Francisco Bay Area.
