Luckily, I have avoided all the infamous kits so far, so I haven’t had any truly bad build experiences. My least favorite would have to be the HG Freedom + Meteor unit. It’s not bad, but really shows its age. The Meteor unit is mostly just sections of two large hollow pieces of plastic sandwiched together, and would require a lot of masking and painting for color correction. I didn’t even bother building the Freedom that came with it since it’s also the old one, and placed my HG Rising Freedom in it instead.
