Going from “having no internet” to “doing international lawsuits” is quite a journey
They probably got a lot of emails from lawyers drumming up a case
I mean, international lawsuits existed long before the internet but I read you.
While I knew since last year the the story was fake (and I had random people mention it to me on online games when they learned I was Brazilian), I’m also skeptical that this story alone was all it needed to kill that guy’s company.
I would say that porn is less damaging than social media at this point.

The one elder quoted in the original NYT article does. Which is why it was reported. The NYT article wasn’t salacious but once TMZ got 'hold of it, well.
I mean I’ve seen pictures of tribal people and their gene pool is a bit limited. They generally aren’t very good looking. Imagine only seeing ugly people your entire life, never receiving a K12 education, never visiting a library, never having TV or internet. All you know is your tribe. Then someone gives you a computer and shows you porn stars. I mean yeah, you would be cooming. It would be like that meme of Randy in South Park.
They seem to be adapting to modern society pretty well.

But I am amazed how NYT is fine using real facts when they want to put some random group in a grey spot light at best. Something about that coverage is off, can’t quite put my finger on it tho.
Bu when they cover israel, all of sudden facts are not relevant. This is the same NYT is that downplayed USSR caused famines in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, got a pulizer for it too lol
