Data inverted for post. Just ignore the - symbol
This shows the height distribution between males and females. Example almost 100% of people under 5 ft are female
This data shouldn’t be displayed like this. This is a cumulative distribution function, displayed as a bar chart. As this is cumulative data, it should be displayed continuously with a line or an area.
Hey hey hey this is data is beautiful, not data is functional! It’s gotta have mass market appeal and not just appeal for you data nerds!
It’s not just the 0% and -100% that’s weird…
Like, the graph is just wrong in a lot of different ways. Not just that, you don’t seem to understand what a distribution is.

It’s been a while since I took a stats class, but this is gibberish.
According to the CDC 1% of adult males are 61 inches or shorter.
I don’t get this graph either. Aren’t guys taller on average? There’s never more than a 50/50 split in this graph.
Fixed
Much better chart.
So knowing a disproportionate amount of women who are 5’-10" and over means I must live in the enlightened zone of the 99th percentile.
Interesting fact I found that just 4% of Males are shorter than 54% of females
