Just imagine if this happened to someone not posh, I don’t want to imagine how they’d get by.

I never got to the point where I wasn’t able to go to the bathroom by myself but I do relate to so much of her experience. I’m happy she’s doing better now and I’m happy that she’s had the resources to get better.
Thinking about all the people who did not have her resources with this illness makes me really scared. We’re mass murdering part of our population that could easily be saved if we divided our resources fairly.
I also frequently think about all the disabled people in Palestine, most of whom have been made disabled by Israeli airstrikes or drone attacks. The average living person in Gaza has been displaced almost 10 times now I think? How horrible that must be if you’re so disabled that you can barely walk. The people who keep these inequalities alive are so unimaginable cruel.

Yeah, that’s long been a peeve of mine about her community and supporters.
Unrelated, but I was just watching some random YouTube vid before bed and like ten minutes in the guy goes into how he hadn’t been uploading because he was sick for a month (with bronchitis or pneumonia that came and went and came again) and I’d really like a bot that checks transcripts of new YouTube videos as they’re uploaded for mentions of getting sick and then tracks what their uploads are like afterwards. In the same vid of talking about how he got some “random” respiratory illness that knocked him out for a month he then twice goes into a bar unmasked. Like.
Gee, I wonder what’s in this dude’s future.
Actually, now I’m wondering if there’s a dataset of who the top 5000 or so uploaders were for the past ten years. I’d like to see how many of them, that mention getting sick repeatedly, are still uploading regularly.
