In case you are curious, this is what you are trying to turn into a teachable moment.
It is not possible to educate them. Months ago I pointed out the dangers of NOAA/NWS cuts to my FLORIDA neighbors on Nextdoor.com. There is no government service around here that is as popular, loved and depended upon during hurricane season. Got overrun with fucking hate. Think this article/news would fare any better?
Not real big on education there either though.
