And we should just get rid of sex, all insemination should be done in a lab because it’s much easier.

Unpopular, maybe, but I agree with OP. When I finally counted up all the caffeine I was consuming, I found I was over 1500mg/day.

I switched to caffeine-free drinks the next day, and tapered down to 200mg in the mornings.

Apparently, I shouldn’t try to explain this to people IRL.

One important difference about price: my job has free coffee in every break room. They do not offer free caffeine pills.

Caffeine pills are the functionally superior caffeine delivery solution, but when pleasure is taken into account, they fall short.

I don’t just drink coffee for the caffeine delivery, I also like how it tastes, and I value the social ritual around coffee.

I love the smell of coffee more than the taste.

And if the aromatherapy industry is any indication, we humans really like to smell things that were like

I think coffee just generally smells better than it tastes.

It still tastes good, but I would rather drink that smell for sure

Not at all, I get freshly roasted specialty coffee ordered in small batches from a local roaster, and it tastes amazing.

Still, the smell is decidedly more pleasant, probably because you don’t really smell the bitter part of coffee, which while not at all overwhelming in the coffee I drink, is still decidedly a note.

Meh, I travel a fair bit, and go hiking quite a lot, and keep a little pouch with a bunch of essentials in it, in my bag. Among those things are some caffeine pills. They’re light, cheap, and easily accessible when I need them.

I was never a coffee fan, but I do drink tea, and sometimes that experience is just plainly more pleasant than popping a pill.

4, yes you can, haven’t you never heard of measures? Or do you just not know how to do math in your head based on how much you’ve had?

Volumetric dosing is more accurate than crumbs of pills, as long as you have a homogeneous solution and know it’s strength.

3 swallowing pills is more boring and most people like a liquid to go with it, so you’re gonna have to have a drink anyway

2 that depends a ton on the coffee and where you’re buying caffeine pills from

1 practice dental hygiene and moderation of consumption.

If you’re doing it just for the caffeine, you have a caffeine addiction. For me, I drink coffee because I enjoy it. The caffeine I can take or leave, and often do.

This year I’ve enjoyed every single cup of coffee I’ve had; all three of them.

At that point you could just take some amphetamines if you don’t want to drink coffee.

Sure, if your goal is literally just to get a dose of caffeine. Some people actually like the taste and experience of drinking it in liquid form.

    • 1 Not mine
    • 2, 3, 4 You really think drinking coffee is about caffeine? What’s next, you should eat sugar instead of drinking soda?

It’s not unpopular, it’s being ignorant.

You didn’t address my argument. How is a caffeine pill supposed to substitute for my favorite moment in the morning - sitting down and enjoying a hot, delicious beverage?

The pill contains small robots that burrow into your brain and twiddle the neurons to make you THINK you’re enjoying a hot coffee in the morning

In reality, it’s shortening your lifespan by around 10 years every time. Small price to pay for white teeth, though!
