Is this an old post? Because over 46 thousand have been sold as of March.

Still, that’s not helluva lot considering the global or even countrywide population. Had to look it up because if they really did only ever sell 3000 of them, then a significant portion of those buyers live around me.

No ban, street safety rules. Quite likely that canada is a bit more lenient there, having more place and all.

It’s not like the RU actively needed to do anything to no allow them. They are just so shit, they were basically spawn kills for the EU.

I’m in a very liberal city and I have seen a few of these with business logos plastered all over them. It’s like they are advertising that you shouldn’t use their business.

We have a few I’ve seen around. one in particular was seemingly bought, vinyl wrapped, and parked in a busy lot to advertise some restaurant that’s not even nearby 🤦‍♂️ It probably wouldn’t even start now. It hasn’t moved in several months and there’s no chargers near it in that lot lol

I feel like I have seen way too many on the road for only 3000 to have been sold.

Maybe I have a lot of dipshits living near me?

Can you imagine. Putting together an entire assembly line. Logistics. Parts outsourcing. From the die stamp machine with tolerances of 0.0001" to make those shitty stainless steel bodies to how many rolls of toilet paper there should be in each stall, or the type of soap in the luch room. All those intricate details. To only sell 39,000 of those shitboxes.

Tesla probably skipped half that, the die stamp machine is from a dumpster in Detroit and employees are expected to shit at a Starbucks during their break.

I’ve seen one in the non capitol or metro area in Canada I live in, though there is money here since it’s nice. So yeah I figured there must be more out there than the post said. First one I’ve seen in person, it look liked it belonged in a B movie, I couldn’t help but laugh. I do think it’s a good thing for people try and pollute less of course, just not want to give more money to the Nazi born having already won the game of life.

I am pretty sure the 3,000 figure was the initial founders edition and that the figure should be revised now. some asshole in my town had one of the original ones though I’m pretty sure

Red car syndrome? Or maybe you live in a better off area? I don’t think you’re gonna see too many of these dumpsters in rural areas, so wealthier suburban/urban areas is where they’ll be. Even in my small town about 90 miles from a metro area there are at least two I see regularly. They really stand out.

especially when they WRAP the travesty. the cybertrucks height gives just enough cover where its difficult to see the embarrasment of a driver, unless you were very close.

They look awful. Slightly less awful when wrapped, but I heard that Tesla fucked up the bonding surface for wraps or something so they’re basically unremovable, but will deteriorate with age.

Once or twice every decade a clown car gets released and a handful of dipshits buy them and become the red-headed stepchildren of our roadways. The butt of jokes. Cautionary tales.

    Pontiac Aztek

    Chrysler PT Cruiser

The other cars are mild steel shells on alloy subframes. They mild steel is easy to press into shape

Cybertruck is stainless steel, it is much harder than mild steel and doesn’t bend easily, so they made it out of flat panels

There is one in our area, but I only ever saw it parked and empty until recently. When I finally ran across it on pulling out of a parking lot, I got a look and the driver and he looks like a bootleg RFK Jr.

It seems like some places allow renting them (IIRC, the one that was set on fire at a hotel (Vegas?) was one).
