We were on the radio with the diesel mechanic, after several attempts to reset the faults, when we started seeing smoke. He said “Hang on a second I’m looking into this” to which we replied We are on fire!

Tell 'em it’s for the heritage program. Railfans love superfluous smoke for the camera.
