International shipping to the USA has slowed dramatically and the word is this is just the beginning. This is extremely rare to see these docs without cargo.

This is going to cause an enormous amount of inflation isn’t it
Yes, but never mind that.
This is going to cause Soviet-style, empty shelves, lining up for bread, actual goddamned shortages.
Imagine going through another COVID-like experience as far as the economy is concerned, except this time it was entirely caused by the conservative virus.
Because it’s starting to look like that’s what is going to happen.
Don’t worry, Americans are great at sharing and rationing
Oh yeah. They proved that with their expert handling of the toilet paper shortages during COVID!
I was down there just as Covid was ramping up and borders were closing. A guy had a couple of grocery carts full of meat. Took almost the whole display. He was arguing at the cash register because they wouldn’t let him buy it all
which will superheat the aforementioned inflation
Glad I just got a bread maker!
Gotta learn to make buns with it so it’s just not loaves.
I could be wrong, but my very limited experience with bread makers is that they’re basically for making loaves more conveniently, since they can mix, knead and bake all in one device. If you’ve got to remove the dough and form it into buns to bake on a sheet pan anyway, I’m not sure a bread machine has any advantage over a normal stand mixer.
It takes care of the mixing, and rising. It’s very “set it and forget it”.
Forming buns or a pizza crust out of that dough and tossing that in the oven is a pretty fast part of the process.
Over a mixer maybe not, but I have the machine already and no mixer.
You don’t even need a machine or mixer. There is the “artisan bread in 5 minutes a day” book and website. You add flour water yeast and salt, stir it in with a knife or spatula then stir or fold it in with your hands till it is somewhat consistent. They even say don’t over mix, the dough will figure it out. Wait two hours. Either boule it up or cut into bun blobs , rise again 40 mins and then bake it. Easiest recipe ever and it tastes amazing.
Trumpflation as it’s going to be called in history books
