Is there an open source massive level world game that one could use to have a game-like real protest safely from the comfort of my home?

There could be an untapped world of possibilities! Like you can create effigies and burn them with nukes from a mech flying in space.

It needs to be a completely legal game that anyone can download ptp or centrally. Then the protest part happens when everyone and their gramma jumps in and clogs the pipes running the inter web. Re member the internet is not like a truck!

    Not an actual recommendation, but:

In Sweden, unions and left-wing parties hold demonstrations during 1 May, International Workers’ Day. In 2020, this was deemed to not be feasible due to the Covid pandemic being in full swing. Hence, the left-wing party in Sweden decided to run their demonstration in World of Warcraft. It was truly a sight to see, a bunch of level 1 characters marching in Durotar from the Valley of Trials to Orgrimmar. The memes were spectacular.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but are you stupid? A protest made in a place where nobody can see it is pointless. You do it to be seen by everyone else. That’s why, making everyone else life and routine harder with your protest is the most effective way of being noticed. Sure, nobody wants a traffic jam because there are people protesting school shootings and the lack of gun controls, but you know what? Being a kid and getting shot sucks way more. Oh, you don’t like to be late for work? Why those pesky public transport workers are not working? Oh, you say they have slave wages? Not being able to eat or pay rent sucks way more than being late one day. You get the point, protests are made always when something sucks for someone, and the methods are way more effective when you can communicate your issue in a non ignorable way. PC protests are very ignorable.

Protests don’t do much except show dissatisfaction. Protesting in a game only works in that game

If you want to help without leaving your house, donate to a group doing good things so that more of them can give up their jobs and do it full time

Why should those in power be afraid of people who have a different opinion but stay at home?
