From the article: A 13-year-old Missouri middle school student was suspended for sharing a photo of his weekend art project on his private Snapchat account. The student, W.G., and his mother Riley Grunden are now suing the school district, principal, and superintendent for violating W.G.'s constitutionally protected First Amendment right to creative expression and for labeling him a “cyberbully” on his permanent record.
I hope they win their lawsuit! That’s a lot of overstep.
This is crazy. What is even more strange is this is rural Missouri. Normally it is more common sense it that part of the world. Hell when I was a kid, we could bring guns for show and tell.
Yep, I grew up in a rural state close to MO. Same culture. In our high school parking lot, majority of trucks had gun racks in the back window with guns in them. Some kids would take days off during hunting season to hunt, and teachers would just save up lesson plans from them. No issues.
