An average school bus is 35 feet. So that’s the lion’s one leap kill zone. Never get closer then one school bus from a lion.
Americans will use anything to avoid the metric system. /s
Why do you think I keep 2 school buses near me at all times!? They said I don’t have to actually fill them with children, but I’m not taking any chances…
Oh thank god, we’re safe then
That’s… still too close, for me! 😔
It’s called the “long jump” not the “long leap”.
Can they do it backwards?
Giant leap for lionkind.
Tigers can jump like a motherfucker too. The SF zoo had like a 15 foot chasm between the visitors and them. One day some 20 ish year old guys tried to yeet pinecones at one of the tigers. They fucked around n found out. The tiger leapt out of the enclosure n fuckin murdered one of them and maimed another. Now the tiger enclosure is way bigger.

That link was a frickin’ roller coaster and I’m left with more questions than answers now. From the employees having previously reported that the walls were too low, to the worker who refused to let the young men into the cafe after the tiger got loose, to the random drama about the impounded BMW, to the guys who were attacked having already been facing charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest…
One day a cheetah was walking around outside the enclosure in Prague zoo. When they tried to return her, she just jumped back over the fence. Presumably she could always do that and maybe went around on walks during the night, but then she made the mistake of going during the day and was found out and the fence had to be made higher.
Props to English for having two words for these two very similar concepts. German only has ‘jump’ which has to mean both (as far as I’m aware).
This is obviously true. It was told by Nestlé, and we all know they would never lie.
