A decade ago, my friend went on a tinder date with a guy who said he worked in “protection services”. After the third date, he admitted that he’s actually a cop, which she was on the fence about. He begged her to stay.

Then after three months of dating, she broke up with him, deleted her social media, lived with her parents a few states away, and cut off all contact with everyone who known her.

Only about a year ago did she finally reconnect with her social group.
