“Being that a concealed weapon permit is more difficult to obtain than a Florida driver’s license, and statistics bear out that conceal carry holders are less criminal, can you explain why this ID is not valid to vote?”

“I’d, uh, have to investigate…”

“Isn’t the premise of the SAVE Act that we prevent illegals from voting? Are you saying that CCW holders could be illegal in some manner? Does the state issue CCWs to illegal residents without any sort of investigation? Is a CCW holder, at the least, not as trustworthy as a driver’s license holder?”

“Mr. Patronis, my father is elderly and can no longer drive. At 88 years old, he no longer has his birth certificate, but he retains his CCW. Would you characterize this is as an attack on not only lawful gun owners, but also on senior citizens?”

EDIT: I voted against this fucker in the special election. A poll worker happily confirmed that my CCW was valid ID to vote. Not if SAVE passes.
