NAL but this is extremely illegal under many laws, not limited to the right for states to manage their own elections and also ballot tax laws.
Everything illegal if not prosecuted is essentially legal.
So… my state conceal carry card won’t fly? It is, after all, a legal state issued ID. Not good enough? (looked it up, no, that dog don’t hunt)
Right there is where our journalists fail. I promise you, not one soul will nail a Florida legislator to the wall.

“But I cannot use this ID to register to vote, correct? (shows card to the camera)”

“Being that a concealed weapon permit is more difficult to obtain than a Florida driver’s license, and statistics bear out that conceal carry holders are less criminal, can you explain why this ID is not valid to vote?”
“I’d, uh, have to investigate…”

Does the state issue CCWs to illegal residents without any sort of investigation? Is a CCW holder, at the least, not as trustworthy as a driver’s license holder?”

I’m old. I remember when journalists used to slam dunk politicians, force them to answer questions and everyone fucking saw it.
EDIT: I voted against this fucker in the special election. A poll worker happily confirmed that my CCW was valid ID to vote. Not if SAVE passes.

The problem now is that politicians have no shame. They are more likely to refuse to answer, or outright attack the questioner. Wish I could find the recent clip to add from the daily show I think
Taking “action” like this with mass anything is such a waste of what little time it would also take to just call your congressperson directly. At best with something like this you’re going to get tallied up but weighted so low it will hardly matter, especially when they’re sitting at…7k? Signatures right now. They will essentially spam filter you out. Please take direct, personal action.
