Russians do this because its their terror. They fear the sudden bullet to the brain and think it will create fear in others. What is does it is create a resolve to defeat them. Something few russians understand because their version of it is fatalistic.

U.S. handling of Israel’s war crimes (i.e. actively protecting them from consequences) has and will continue to embolden others. Expect more of this behavior.

In this case, I would think the perpetrator has already received their drone strike. The surveillance drone operator likely didn’t spend a long time before alerting FPV pilots.

In general… yes. Finding them later would be hard. If they survived the war, they’d likely escape unknown.

More Ukrainian conscripts, obviously. Just keep throwing out waves of them until the Russian front line breaks.

I’m not sure of your intent, but the alternative is to lay down, let Russia take the country, and then see how many soldiers and civilians are executed and their children abducted.

That’s a foregone conclusion if Trump can strong arm Ukraine into elections and Zelenskyy gets washed (as looks increasingly likely given how unpopular he’s become). Then control tilts back to a bunch of Russia-friendly Ukrainian business goons more interested in doing deals than fighting over turf.

How many poorly equipped press-ganged infantrymen want to die for Ihor Kolomoisky’s vision of a future Ukraine?

Maybe don’t rely on rt for news… zelensky’s popularity shot up after Trump and Vance’s oval office disgrace. Trump then sent people to try to convince zelensky’s opposition to push for elections, and even the opposition told them to fuck off.

Ukrainian constitution prohibits elections during war.

If there is peace, Zelenskyy himself has said he wants an election.

Under martial law, specifically, it seems.

One hell of a state of exception they’ve got there. Can’t imagine why anyone in power would want it to drag on indefinitely.

It’s common sense really. It’s impossible to have a fair election when you’re at war. A good portion of voting age men are on the front lines. Way too many opportunities for an external force to affect the results

How many elections has the US held during war time? Hell Lincoln won his second term before the Civil War was over.

This is a war crime, not genocide. If this is your standard for genocide then you should also be saying Ukraine is committing genocide.

Russia is committing many war crimes but their goal is clearly to annex Ukrainian territory and absorb the Ukrainians into Russa. Not the eradication of Ukrainians.

As Zionists loved to point out, before Israel openly started proclaiming their goal is to kill all Palestinians and replace them; genocide requires explicit intent to destroy a population. Not only annex territory.

You cannot call every war crime ‘genocide’. It is not a word you can throw around lightly. The difference in Ukraine is that Russia is still primarily killing combatants whereas Israel is killing mostly women and children.

Please ignore the forced disappearance of Ukrainian children, residents of Mariupol discovering that their bombed out homes were being rebuilt for Russian immigrants with no space left for them, the uninvestigated murders of Crimean Tartars, dropping cluster munitions on civilian evacuations, bombing of civilian shelters, bombing of hospitals, and the large scale rape and murder in Bucha

Once again: many war crimes. Undeniable. Genocide? Likely not.

Israel is primarily slaughtering civilians. Women and children make up most of their casualties. All hospitals and infrastructure is destroyed

Russia is committing many war crimes but they are nowhere near the level of Israel; trying to wipe out the population.

The Kremlin has accused Ukrainian soldiers of executing more than 10 Russian prisoners of war following the circulation of a video on social media purporting to be from the frontline.

The footage appears to show a group of Russian soldiers emerging from an outbuilding in the grounds of a house with their hands above their heads before they are told to lie facedown.

One of the men wearing all black, however, seems to turn his gun on what appears to be a Ukrainian unit of soldiers wearing yellow armbands as he emerges from the half-destroyed outhouse.

The footage, seemingly taken by a Ukrainian soldier, suggests that all the Russians, including those in a prone position, were killed in the violence that followed. There are at least 12 bodies.

Just video footage. No Ukrainian government to say it so it didn’t happen! As pathetic as questioning whether Russians executed the Ukrainian POW’s. When there is a video of it happening there’s no point in screaming source source.

I mean, you’re TECHNICALLY correct, but the Russians are on record saying Ukraine and Ukrainians do not exist as a separate people. So it’s slightly more genocidy than you make out.

A state or group and its inhabitants are not the same.

If someone says “Death to Russia”, “death to Israel” or “death to ISIS” this does not mean wishing death upon everyone who lives under their rule. It means trying to get rid of the group ruling them.

Russia says Ukrainians do not exist as a separate people and tries to annex their land: war crime.

Israel says Palestinians do not exist (not the state, the people) and that they want kill them all, expell them from their land and put them in a concentration camp: genocide.

This is not a “technicality”. This is the crux of what genocide means. It is not a word to be thrown around lightly.
