Summary
The Department of Justice has removed 11 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines for businesses, including guidance on COVID-19 masking and accessibility requirements.
Pages detailing retail accessibility features and lodging accommodations were deleted from ADA.gov. The DOJ called the guidelines “unnecessary and outdated,” citing a January executive order from Trump that blamed regulations for inflation.
Acting Assistant Attorney General Mac Warner claimed the removals would help businesses “pass on cost savings to consumers.” This follows previous Republican efforts to limit ADA enforcement.
In all seriousness, you really wouldn’t think that it’d be the Republican Party stripping ADA requirements. Who are the disabled?
A great deal of it is the elderly.

And who votes Republican?

If you have less education, you’re more-likely to be disabled:

And the less-educated crowd is also more-likely to be voting Republican, especially with Trump:

They don’t care that it might disproportionately affect their base anymore, because they now think they don’t need their base of pesky voters.
Yeah, remember Trump telling those Christians “we’ll fix it so you don’t have to vote anymore”. They don’t need their voters when every position down to your city council is directly appointed by your local Lord (Governor).
I don’t know how many times I have to say it. They aren’t worried about votes because elections are done. They are fucking up medicaid and social security too which is considered political suicide. They’ll still have dog and pony elections every couple of years, but Republicans will magically win them all.
