      I understand how it works, I tried it, I didn’t like it.

      An app menu is an officially supported extension based on the app menu from the earlier versions of GNOME. Why they can’t just allow users to use it properly if that’s their cup of tea is beyond my comprehension.

      Coming from KDE, I love that it treats the Meta (Super/Win) key just like any other. There, you can use it for anything, including any custom app launcher you want (and they natively support both menu and a drawer). It is frustrating to see this option unavailable in Gnome, an environment that allows you to set up anything except this very basic thing for…reasons?..
