Donald Trump has said that Palestinians have “no alternative” but to leave Gaza due to the devastation left by Israel’s war on Hamas, in effect endorsing ethnic cleansing of the territory over the opposition of Palestinians and the neighbouring countries.

Speaking as he prepared to host Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Tuesday, Trump repeated the suggestion that Gaza’s population should be relocated to Jordan and Egypt – something both countries have firmly rejected.

Trump claimed Palestinians would “love to leave Gaza”, telling reporters: “I would think that they would be thrilled.”

You’re upset now, only because now white people are possibly in danger. We get to feel a taste of what non-white people experience daily in the US.

    Jesus fucking Christ.

Cool, I applaud your whiteness in doing so. That’s what we’re here for, right? Performative leftism and suburban middle class white guilt, where you prove you’re ‘one of the good whites’ by denigrating the lives of nonwhites who aren’t special enough to catch your attention at any given moment?

If you’re done celebrating the genocide of minorities in the US, because they’re white minorities, and thus not ‘real’ people, like LGBT folk and the disabled, or too white to matter, like mixed-race folk, I guess we can wrap this conversation up.

So, did you just get scared on January 20th?

My queer self has been scared since 2006…

Im hardly “celebrating it”… I’m acknowledging that it actually happens here.

So, did you just get scared on January 20th?

I got more terrified on January 20th (or rather, on November 6th), and anyone who didn’t isn’t paying attention.

Things are going to get worse for all of us. Oppression will intensify. Hard fought victories will evaporate. And genocide is very much on the menu for these fascist fucks. So I’ll thank you to not cretinize over how it can’t possibly get any worse than it was. It can. It will. And anyone who’s been alive long enough to vote should know that it can very much be worse than it was for minorities in 20-fucking-24.

Buckle up. We’re in for a ride, whether you realize that or not. Me, I’m going over suicide plans I thought I long had the license to cast aside; only now instead of mental illness driving me to consider them, it’s “What to do if things go well and truly south considering the government we have in power and my position relative to it?”

Im hardly “celebrating it”… I’m acknowledging that it actually happens here.

Oh, you’re ‘acknowledging’ it by downplaying developing events, cool. Like talking about how the SPD wasn’t stopping the rampant antisemitism in Weimar Germany, so the oncoming Nazi genocide doesn’t fucking matter. “It was always a genocide, now it’s just more naked!” you’ll cry, as they herd us into the literal fucking gas chambers.

They aren’t herding me anywhere, without a fight.

That’s why we arm ourselves, and train, and organize.

And it’s been getting worse for everyone since like… 1976 on so?

Like did you forget the preventable AIDS epidemic pushed by Reagan? The 1993 Crime Bill that tossed thousands or Black folk into prison? Crack cocaine introduced to our communities by the US government? Mass arrests of people protesting for racial justice? Gitmo? 1985 MOVE bombing? Indigenous Boarding Schools?

That’s why we arm ourselves, and train, and organize.

The reason why actual revolutionaries arm and train and organize is for the prospect of action striking back against the institutions of power. Not because it’ll save any individual one of them. Fuck, being more likely to die is one of the first things revolutionaries against oppressive governments have to get through their heads. And heroic shootouts with the military for all the world to see are not how things usually go. You get black-fucking-bagged on your way back from the grocery store.

And it’s been getting worse for everyone since like… 1976 on so?

I don’t even know what to say to this. Even a cursory knowledge of US history would show that, gruesome as that is, that’s not even close to the worst it’s been; that’s not even the worst it’s been in the second half of the 20th century alone. That you wrap things up with indigenous boarding schools, which had their death knell as a large-scale institution in the 70s and 80s, only heightens how bizarre this is.

Sigh. We fight for those on the left and right of us.

If it was just for me, then why would I suggest training, arming AND organizing?

Safety in numbers is a common delusion.

If it’s not for you, why the fuck did you bring it up as part of “Well, they won’t take ME without a fight!” macho posturing?

They aren’t herding me anywhere, without a fight.
