If you checked the profile there was couple posts with other pictures of the same person. I just feel bad for that person getting their pictures misused.

But I’m quite gullible / naive, so usually take most comms at face value initially. It’s just how I am.

A couple of accounts sent out a tonne of PMs. They are getting blocked but banning and removing content doesn’t remove DMs, so folks can delete them or wait for the Admins to run some SQL to remove them.

Not much. If it is a spam thing then I suspect that was coming later.
I poked around out of curiosity. The friendica profile was empty except for one post saying hi. The peertube was live an hour ago or so and had a few comments. I’m currently in bed so didn’t watch it to see if there was any sound. The final link was to some chat room thing that needed a login to get in, and I didn’t feel like making one.

They didn’t even bother to try and scam us with someone hot. The fake Tinder profiles at least bothered to find some girl on Instagram to steal pictures of.
I think they figured that, as we’ve rejected the attractive popular social media sites, we might be more inclined to go for someone more attainable and on our wavelength. I imagine she’s been hit up with plenty of “what’s your stack? Right answers only! LOL. Kidding. 🤪”.
