I’m really surprised at the consistency. I haven’t kept up, so I don’t know how anything works now, but I’m used to all the little details changing each time (instead of only a couple at most like here)

Ditto, though the LoRA might explain it.

The base model, Pony Diffusion, doesn’t normally act like that in my experience. Maybe if you generated an enormous number of images and culled them.

The simplicity of the style might also help – less to change.

Welp, this post isn’t really like the other posts on this community, but I couldn’t think of any other popular Lemmy community where it wouldn’t receive even more downvotes. 🤷

Idk, it seems like the same ten-or-twelve morons downvote anything slightly cool in each of the communities I’m in. They strike quick, but the up-votes turn them into background noise before too long.

Also happens if the post coincidentally shows up in all and some particularly anti AI people see it, even when it’s isolated in a designated community like this one.

It’s much more likely the fact this is an AI generated picture being called “an OC”.

Original Character, vs Original Content. I saw the former in use long before the later, and in reference to designs which were much more cookie-cutter in spec(ie, mmorpg characters, basically amounting to multiple-choice components and some sliders).

I don’t believe for a second anyone, beyond maybe you, is downvoting on that criteria.

            Original Character, vs Original Content

It doesn’t really change the point though, be it original character or original content. There’s nothing original about AI.

anyone, beyond maybe you, is downvoting on that criteria

I haven’t downvoted anyone so that would be very surprising if true.

Like I said, maybe you. I didn’t see a value judgement in your comment, beyond the fact that you thought of it in a way I hadn’t.

Still, so many of the "OC"s out there are spec-art, done on commission, that I don’t really see the label as claiming to be an artist, or the artist, who composed a given work. OP creditted the AI used(if not any “in the style of” prompts…), which is more than a lot of these kind of posts have provided in the past.

I mean, I get your point about OCs being done by commission or other similar ways.

But if we are wondering why this particular post was downvoted immediately, which suggests many downvotes came from people browsing the “New” feed, AI is a much better guess than transphobia on Lemmy. People over here tend to be very vocally supportive of trans people, whilst also hating AI.

If this were Reddit, I’d immediately suggest transphobia being much more likely indeed
