    Proper ergonomics are key. At my old job (from before and during the pan), we had adjustable electric desks. I spent half my time working at a standing position. When I moved and needed a new desk (the old one had already survived one move and wasn’t going to survive another), I got an adjustable desk. I put it in a standing position about three times ever.

    I found out that being able to adjust it to exactly the right height, combined with my excellent Aeron chair, made for a perfect workspace. It was the shitty chair at my old job that caused me to stand due to back pain. I no longer have back pain.
