U Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Kyiv’s army is now larger than Moscow’s during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Wednesday. He said that Ukraine’s military now has 880,000 soldiers, while Russia’s forces are comprised of 600,000 troops.

It’s shitty that Ukraine are being forced to conscript and draft soldiers due to Russian aggression.
I hope Ukraine can gain more territory before the inevitable and forced peace talks next year.

I hope the russian economy will break down so much it elicts some sort of power shift, and with putin gone, no more mad person having to erase Ukraine and thus the war can end.
Google “russian trains” and “ball bearings”. If the sanctions don’t end soon for Russia, their economy absolutely will break down.
Russia moves the vast majority of its good by rail, but the trains are breaking down because the ball bearings are wearing out and Russia can’t produce new ball bearings. I’m busy at work, so I can’t look for the article now, but if things keep going the way they are now, Russia won’t be able to transport its food harvests to its people in 1 to 2 years. There will be starvation in Russia if they don’t get their trains fixed. #1) Russia doesn’t have enough trucks to transport all the food it needs. #2) If Russia did have enough trucks, it still doesn’t have enough roads nor good enough roads to handle all of the trucks it would need to transport all of the food it needs.
And honestly, I hope they do starve.

They’re conscripts being used as cannon fodder to avoid threats against their families and you’re comparing them to monkeys?
No, the North Korean forces in Russia are the DPRKs special forces. These are not conscripts. They are indoctrinated and jingoistic forces that absolutely believe they are furthering the goals of Kim Il Jong and their families back home.
Still, to get into that you probably have to be from a family that’s been super loyal to the regime so those guys signing up have had literally no exposure to anything other than NK propoganda.

It was 880k in a previous paragraph.
Either a typo, or that’s what he previously said and now he’s saying 880k.
Almost certainly a typo. Both the subtitles under the video of Zelenskyy and every other mention of the number all say 880,000

Actually, Russia doesn’t have any conscripts in Ukraine.
Which is also the reason behind these numbers.
Every single Russian soldier currently in Ukraine has signed some paper consenting to be there. (Whether that signature was really voluntary is another question).
So in theory, Russia still has a vast reserve of conscripts they haven’t committed yet.
But in practice, those conscripts are needed to do exactly what the Ukrainian conscripts are doing – protect their home country.
And even Putin doesn’t have enough power and support to force conscripts into an aggressive war on foreign soil – that’s something only America and Germany have managed so far.Signing papers out being tossed out a window sure seems a choice

Why would the war being over change that? If anything it would make it worse.
Because if the only question you’re asking is “who’s winning?”, it would be hard to lie or cover up the fact that you lost. After it’s over who won will be pretty clear.

Why is anyone making what I said about russia or ukraine? My comment was about media companies. I never said anything about supporting russia. I just said that russian media will report that russia is winning, and ukraine (and their allies) media will report that ukraine is winning.
Even though I do support ukraine, I never said anything about who I support. I just don’t trust the reporting of the war from either side. Still to this day people think carrots are good for your eyes.
There’s a youtube channel that shows up in my reccomended. Every week they have a new video that has titles like “The war is over for russia, ukraine gets huge advantage” and the other day was “North korea surrenders to ukraine, war end in sight.”
But this has been every week since about a week after the war started.
And I’m sure there’s some truth in their videos. The problem is, they take the truth, at a 3, and amplify it to an 11 at which point it’s no longer pure truth.
You can’t keep saying that every week ukraine did the thing that ends the war, and then be 3 years into saying that on a weekly basis.
And then I’ve seen how russia will claim ukraine started the war, and how they would never bomb schools and childrens hospitals. But that’s just a straight up lie, because they’ve done both those thingd, multiple times, and were the aggressors in the war.
I have no idea who’s winning because of both sides propaganda. So at this point, it’s more like you find out news 3 months after the fact, because it’s the story that still stands. Like right now, I’m finally sure that an invasion of russia mainland actually happened, and that was back in september. I’m just now realizing that was real.

Russia has compulsory conscription twice a year for ages 18-30. There have been plenty of conscripts fighting in Ukraine, I think you are being confused about the mobilizations which are needed because they can legally only conscript so many people at certain times of the year.
