She also told trans people, “I love laws”, while her supporters were going around telling them that Trump was going to pass laws to round them up and put them into camps.

No. She ran a campaign. She was all over social media. She had commercials. She was doing rallies. She was pretty active.
In a way that was the problem because she was not giving the speeches and answering the questions that motivated people to vote for her. Her inability to move even a fraction left on some key issues just gave more fuel to the dumpster fire of apathy and resentment that the Democrats keep perpetually burning and really ended up suppressing turnout. People would rather stand alone in the cold than huddle around it anymore.
