My daughter is an archer. I have asked her this question many times.

She was on a team in Kentucky 6th through 8th grades. She’s starting her Freshman year in Iowa.

Her response is sadly always the same. “Dad! I’d get in trouble!”

Y’all have problems if you think about shooting people whenever there is an option to fire a projectile. This was an Onion article BTW.

If anybody thought this post was a serious question the answer is that people usually don’t want to shoot people.

Actually did some backyard archery practice with my son today. All we wanted to shoot was that bullseye on the foam target.

Keeping focus and not killing is a daily struggle for some. Although I carry a Desert Eagle Mk XIX Action Express 10in barrel loaded with Hornady .50 Cal AE cartridges I have yet to murder.

    Yet.

Have you tried using something more accurate than a .50 DE? You’ll never kill if you keep missing.

Half the training is shooting the bow.

The other half is burying the intrusive thoughts.

Either they believe in God and are afraid of punishment, or they are atheists and simply do not have any desire to fire arrows into the crowd.

I did an archery lesson not too long ago and that was certainly my biggest fear.
