They were red and round, the leaves were green or were they blue? No, green for sure. You have to remember me, I was wearing the same hat last year! C’mon!

Every sign, every rule, every law has a story as to why it is necessary.

My bet is that this is a community garden of some sort.

Tomatoes are annuals. They die off every year. So if you liked a tomato from last year, and didn’t keep any of its seeds, and you want that same tomato next summer, you need to remember what you put in the ground.

    Actually not a shitpost.

If you work at a nursery and people are coming in and telling you they had “this” or “that” tomato plant last year, and they can’t remember what it it there is nothing wrong with that sign. If they can’t remember what they planted the year before that is their problem.

Does that change what you get? They’re all still tomatoes even if some of them are shaped or sized different.

Tomatoes are like Apples. Different varieties have wildly different tastes.

See that made it very clear, on that note though, any chance I could get a recommendation for one to use in a meal prepped omelette?

Roma or maybe plum. They’re not a giant water balloon and won’t make it soggy.

Maybe go with sun dried versions or those of you want something a little less sweet.

If you don’t think even any cherry tomato tastes different from any large tomato, you need to find better tomatoes.

    • They are different for what you’re doing with them. If you’re eating them fresh, you probably want sweet cherry tomatoes or yellow bell tomatoes. If you want them for sandwiches, you might go with a beefsteak tomato because the shape and size make the slices perfect. If you’re canning them for sauce, you’ll want romas because they have less juice in them, meaning you can shave off a good chuck of time to get the sauce to thicken. And as others have said, the flavors are different as well.
