Kherson region.
Video from a Russian soldier from the 61st Brigade.
An epic attack by a Ukrainian night FPV drone on a Russian boat. - 0:40 - timing
Cool, I hope the blyats died.
These guys prefer drowning to burning.
Well… yes? Don’t you?
Two other things: maybe the boat was sinking anyway, and maybe there were other drones on the way
I expect soldiers to not panic, but poor fucking infantry will do whatever
I’m not sure that you’re better off in the water, even if the boat is the target. Water is incompressible, so it transmits explosive force well. Maybe if you can get far enough away.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blast_fishing
Blast fishing, fish bombing, dynamite fishing or grenade fishing is a destructive fishing practice using explosives to stun or kill schools of fish for easy collection.
Sure, if the explosion happens in the water or near enough the swimmers. Water slows down shrapnel, though
On the flip side:
Water masks their heat signature. So getting into the water while the boat is still moving and swimming away from the burning boat may be a good option to hide. They need to stay underwater for as long as possible though.
Was that guy shot in the back?
