Might have been “yes ma’am’d” by someone for the first time since starting HRT? Funnily was someone whose known me since before I started. Pretty sure they were just used to reacting to my boss though. Also I didn’t hear it, but just overheard someone else pointing out they said “yes ma’am”. Anyways, all honorifics are all unwanted, so not something I’m exactly happy about. At least I don’t think I’ve been “yes sir’d” this summer and only “mister’d” by like one person.

      Haven’t gotten ma’am’d since starting HRT :/

But it would happen occasionally before, even with a beard and shit lol, so it’s bound to happen eventually

I still have a beard. I’m trying to hide that I started HRT, my skin is sensitive so shaving isn’t that practical, and I’m too busy at work for laser during the summer for laser appointments.

Can’t remember it happening before. There was someone who called me “Queen” though, which sometimes resulted in weird looks from others at work. She mostly just liked using certain phrases I assume she picked up from social media.

How long ago did you start? If it’s something you want, I wish you luck in getting that soon. Hopefully without someone either “correcting” themselves or being “corrected” by someone else.

Yeah I’m basically in the same boat actually,

          slightly dysphoric explanation

haven’t really tried shaving lately because the last time I did I uh, really didn’t like what I saw (year or two pre HRT), and its just not something I can imagine forcing myself to do every day just to see that. I’m hoping I feel better about it the next time I shave.

          .

I only started like a month ago, and I’m not out to a lot of people, nor am I really sure what my (realistic) goals are, so I may stop when I feel good about the changes, or I might continue forever lol.

It’d be nice to be androgynous enough to confuse people a little, yknow?

Very relatable. Looking at face in the mirror to shave is annoying. Started almost 2.5 months ago, only out to like 2.5/6 people who I consider it important to come out to, no goals. Confusing people would be cool.

honestly staring at my bearded face is fine somehow in a way that shaved wasnt. I treat my facial hair like a dysphoria hoodie I think lmao

Understandable. Idk since I just avoid mirror either way. :P Dysphoria beards are a thing though.

Its like wearing a covid mask, but without having people ask why you are still wearing one (which I did until April last year, when putting on a mask became a challenge due to an injury)
