minus-square@tallink2•edit-24 months agoI think that what started this was the effort to go after firearms manufacturers – who really don’t have much to do with how a firearm is used – for wrongful deaths. That got blocked back in 2005. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protection_of_Lawful_Commerce_in_Arms_Act So I figure someone looked at that law and figured “okay, extend to the person using the firearm”.
All I can do is laugh and shake my head. This is insanity.
