    I don’t know about this whole “it’s all part of the plan” messaging strategy.

    Let’s say you’re a member of the Russian public. What truly reflects better on the officials? “This fiasco is due to several mistakes and human errors where things went wrong and we’re going to take action to aim to avoid letting it happen again” or “this fiasco is precisely what I intended”?

    I mean, I dunno. I’m not a politician in Russia, I dunno what their focus groups or whatnot say, but I have to say that it doesn’t seem like it’d be very convincing to me.
