zeropointone@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If your happiness is derived from your enjoyment of a false (i.e. fictional) stories, is that truely happiness, or is that technically a delusion?6·1 小时前Allow me a question about your premise: If there is such a thing as true happiness, what is false happiness then?

Now that’s some good quality ragebait. I give it a 9/10. Well done.

zeropointone@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Game's main character: better as your own clay figure write-in, their own person with none of your agency, or something in-between?1·11 小时前Interestingly there are not many games which feature such a mixture, the characters usually lean a lot more towards blank or fully pre-written. Which isn’t necessary a bad thing. But sometimes it’s nice to be surprised.
You could freeze it…
In theory we should practice. But in practice we just theorize.
zeropointone@lemmy.worldto Mental Health@lemmy.world•How do i move on from thoughts that i never had and never going to have relationships?English22·15 小时前Choose demanding jobs and hobbies and you find yourself too exhausted to think about topics like that. You need to keep yourself busy, but in a meaningful way. With time your brain will adjust and at some point you won’t feel bad about it anymore.
zeropointone@lemmy.worldto TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@piefed.world•Are you?5·18 小时前It’s all the same anyway, with Star Wars being the past and Star Trek being the future from our point of view.
Closing eyes awaiting to get stoned to death
I’ve also heard positive feedback from people who switched from Mac to Mint.
zeropointone@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Game's main character: better as your own clay figure write-in, their own person with none of your agency, or something in-between?5·18 小时前I find mixing elements of both to be the the most interesting. A good example would be Planescape: Torment. You start as a blank character (sort of), slowly discovering who you were and having to decide who you are now. But it really depends on the story you want to tell (if the game is even story driven).
zeropointone@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is blue and pink traditionally associated with men and women?3·19 小时前I once read a study which came to the conclusion that women prefer pastel/light colors overall and men prefer strong vibrant colors, so brightness and saturation seem much more important than hue across different cultures and time periods. The most “gender balanced” color turned out to be orange. Very interesting.

I would choose Mint.
Thanks. I don’t remember anymore how I did it exactly and can’t find the particular page that gave me the tip (It was on the Mint forum, discovered it by accident), but I can say that I didn’t run it as service but still with root privileges. It’s weird that it worked in roughly 95 % of all startup/resume cases. Maybe this solution was based on a script function that’s actually obsolete and not fully supported anymore, maybe a bug, who knows. I switched to manual execution two years ago.
You can either steal a premade chocolate cake or you can bake one yourself. Neither turns the chocolate cake into a true or false one. It’s still only a chocolate cake.
