For gasses, you should monitor co and gas, carbon dioxide alarms are uncommon outside of industries where we have a lot of carbon dioxide stored. Without a better idea of the space it’s hard to suggest a ventilation solution.

They make large diameter vent fans for buildings that are designed to run on a widely varied DC source like a solar panel, those can be really useful.

As the other reply says, you need a large volume of air slowly so a large diameter slower fan is good. You can get flexible duct work anywhere they sell construction supplies :3

i know he always like attributes this behaviour to “mental health” (his exact term not mine), and like, i can probably see that, that could very well be true, but at the same time, he always makes time for the needs of his parents (who hate me and call me a “man playing dress up”, i’m not, i’m a woman, and no i don’t look like a guy, they’re just assholes who know i’m trans so they say that anyways, and even if i did look like a guy i’m a woman so it shouldn’t matter, and he doesn’t stand up to them for me), so he’ll like prioritise his parents’ needs for stuff but never do anything for me.

when we’re together he kinda always encourages me to drink a lot (for the obvious reason guys do that with girls), and that’s also like really unhealthy for me and not really something i want in my life anymore.

and he told me “well i’ll never choose you over my parents” in so many words, and it’s like, alr dude, well peace ig, idk. i think i’ll just kinda not see him for a few weeks and see if he says anything.

it’s always such a kick in the face when I go from Mexico to the US. I usually sink into a depression for the first two weeks or so due to the isolation and just kinda oppressive feeling of the United States.

usually the customs officers don’t hassle me much because I’m white but tsa is always happy to help themselves to a groping, which is why I typically do not fly in the US. usually I cross in tijuana so I can deal with sane and pleasant mexican authorities instead of like getting groped for my sunscreen or whatever insane shit the US be smoking this week

I have a pretty unpopular trake on this state among MLs anyways lol. I think it’s really important with California to remember that most of the problems in CA are pretty much problems in all of the US. Horrific anti homeless policies, selling out to business and developers, racist cops, unaffordable housing, are problems in most of the US.

Also note I live in a lower middle income neighbourhood of proletarian people of colour, mostly Hispanic and Black factory workers, landscapers, and construction workers. I don’t live in the rich bay area.

At the same time there are material benefits to living here and a lot of the conservative out of state talking points are to obscure that.

1. Is demographics. I can’t stand too many white people concentrated together. I can’t eat at Applebee’s every day.
2. Is working conditions. Most the US doesn’t have overtime after 8 hrs, lunches, or anti discrimination laws. Wages are way higher.
3. The state medical insurance is actually really good it’s just means tested really low, so it’s unavailable to most people.
4. Quality of life, public spaces, things like hiking and stuff are accessible.

That all makes it like materially better than a lot of the US, tho with the problems it has, it still ISN’T GOOD, and it’s not likely to get better either. That being said I’ve lived in a lot of states and have friends all over the US and I do think it’s important to remember you’ll have all the same problems in Texas with none of the good things, and I do value my community with eloteros and fruit carts more than like, racist pickup truck neighbours.
