Kevin Smith is a wonderful film maker but I wish there was a way to delete his tweets from the internet lol
Freeciv Unciv on Android is an almost feature complete re-creation of Civilization 5 with minimal graphics. You can also download the JAR and run it on a desktop if you have a Java SDK installed. As a Civ player that started with 4, I found it easier to pick up than freeciv which is trying to replicate something more like Civ2.
Edit: provide correct name
I’ve been playing Metaphor. Huge Atlus fanboy so I’m biased but I’ve loved this game. Think I’m nearly done, got all companions and over half of them are maxed out. They’ve done a bunch of reveals (which were very telegraphed especially if you’ve played some of the SMT games). Got one final dungeon to do from what I can tell but at the start of the cycle.
Combat is much better than Persona due to using press-turn. I’ve found the S-Links are much more streamlined than in P5 as well, with the stat requirements to progress some of them being reasonable with regards to where you are in the game. I think the time passing mechanic is the best it’s been since P3 tbh.
If I had to nitpick: The soundtrack is fine but not as good as most other Atlus games. Also enemy variety could be better especially if you are doing all the side dungeons.
Overall I think this game is excellent though.
Vintage album. Kool Keith at his best.
I’m playing on Series S and it gets really rough in the later levels like the snowy mountain city
Why wouldn’t they want to enrich their lives with my high IQ takes arriving directly into their hands with a notification sound??
It’s a typical Japanese developer mentality of “if it ain’t broke” (even if it is broke). You see the same thing from other high profile devs like From Soft. I think the country also still relies heavily on fax machines.
Personally I’ve been enjoying the game despite the performance woes but I can see how it would ruin someone else’s fun. You have to wonder about why it is so hard to implement anti-aliasing in their engine…
The worst part is that all the original stuff in the movie is great but they didn’t have faith in sticking with it.
I think one issue is that UE5 has all of its out-of-the-box toolset geared towards making a fortnite type game since that is Epic’s main focus at the moment.
Not a gamer* but as an open source participant IRC is the main chat room technology my distro uses. All of the conversations are easily archivable and searchable due to the pure text format. Main devs can use tools like quassel to make sure they never miss an @.
*multiplayer gamer. I do play single player games.
In the book Anton is a personification of human evil as a natural force a bit like The Judge in Blood Meridian. The film is more ambiguous I think mainly due to the medium making the character more human by being played by an actor.
Was hoping it might tie more thematically into L’Origin du Monde
Lazy listicle. However I am happy Exorcist 2 exists because it meant that we got Exorcist 3 which is phenomenal.
Don’t have a horse in the race really but I particularly dislike Jenrick so would have rather seen Badenoch vs Cleverly
I LOVED this game as a die hard fan of the Alien series. Have replayed it serval times. These devs understand what makes the franchise great and then have my full trust.
Honestly I don’t try to change my older relatives’ minds on things. After a certain point your views about life/politics get fixed and then that becomes part of your identity.
Fortunately I don’t know any scrum masters personally so they would not even get the experience of being let down last time by a dev. Exceot in a purely metaphorical sense I guess.
They did it with a vampire one called Let The Right One In a few years ago too. It must make economic sense but I hate the idea people are so put off by subtitles.
There were rumours about a remake of Druk/Another Round too recently which I also find an offensive proposition.
Ok I understand the comments here where people are saying they dislike sex scenes that don’t advance the plot. However there are certain movies where sex scenes are essential to the plot such as Boogie Nights. I can also think of examples like The Name Of The Rose where a sex scene is thematically improving the film (in my opinion).
Sex scenes in film/tv are hard to get right but I’d prefer if directors worked harder to capture/deploy them properly rather than a large facet of human experience disappearing during script interventions by producers and studios.
